Greetings time bank members! Well spring is in the air and we have seen major growth and activity within the community. I'm excited to announce that the month of March officially holds the record for the most community involvement, time dollars exchanged and it may just hold the record for the most new members to sign up. Great job everyone for getting involved! The roaming potluck has been a great success as well with much higher than average turnouts and multiple new members signing up at each. The next will be held at People's Coop in SE on Sunday April 26th @ 5pm. I really want to urge anyone who hasn't already done so to post at least one or two services in offers and requests (you can find these under the give and receive tab once you've logged into the time bank). Please feel free to contact one of the coordinators if you have questions about how to go about doing this. I would also urge you to search through the offers and requests to see if there is anything posted that you are interested in responding to.
New Website! Matt Franklin has been nominated as time bank member of the month for his efforts at getting our new website up and running. There are still a few minor kinks being worked out, overall I believe that you will find the site much easier to navigate. Be sure to check out the calendar to keep tabs on upcoming community events. Thanks Matt for all your hard work! Also there has been a Facebook group created for us to have an open forum to chat with one another. When signing into Facebook just search for the group PDX Time Bank and ask to join, maybe even post a comment to get some dialogue rolling!
Member De-activation In March there was some spring cleaning done to our member database. Anyone who had not logged into the site within 6 months was deactivated as the time banking international site charges us based on active members. If your account was de-activated and you would like to start utilizing the site again send an e-mail to
